Transitional Justice Training

YORJA, was invited to the inaugural training and network-building programme of the African Women for Transitional Justice (AW4TJ) that held in Nairobi, Kenya from 2-4 August 2023. The programme brought together women and experts from across Africa who are working in the field of transitional justice. YORJA's representative Ms. Angeline Abuor presented our transitional justice story and discussed the motivation for setting up the organization. She highlighted the importance of youth involvement in transitional justice processes and the need for young people to be viewed as agents of positive change.

The AW4TJ programme was an opportunity for YORJA to connect with other women working in transitional justice and to learn from their experiences. It was also an opportunity to share YORJA's work and to promote the organization's goals of youth involvement in transitional justice. YORJA is grateful for the invitation to the AW4TJ programme and looks forward to continuing to partner with other organizations to promote youth involvement in transitional justice.
