YORJA's Executive Director, Angeline Abuor spoke as a panelist at the "Capacity Strengthening Training Programme on Transitional Justice & Reconciliation", organized by Life & Peace Institute, Centre for the Study of Violence and Reconciliation, and Institute for Justice and Reconciliation (IJR). With a special emphasis on the African Union Transitional Justice Policy (AUTJP). Her intervention was on "Youth Engagement in Peacebuilding: Shaping the Future of Transitional Justice & Reconciliation."
During her remarks, Ms. Abuor emphasized the critical need for meaningful youth engagement beyond just policies. She highlighted that young people must be included in the conversations around building sustainable societies, particularly in post-conflict regions. Youth involvement is not just an add-on but a vital part of shaping resilient, inclusive futures.
