7th African Transitional Justice Forum

The State of Transitional Justice in Africa

12 – 14 September, 2023 | Rabat, Morocco

At the 7th African Transitional Justice Forum, that held from 12-14 September, 2023 in Rabat, Morocco, our team was honored to be a part of a distinguished panel discussing "Youth and Children Inclusion in Transitional Justice Processes." It was an insightful session that highlighted the unique experiences of youth and children during conflict and transition, and the importance of giving them a voice in the process of rebuilding their communities. Our Executive Director Ms. Angeline Abuor also discussed some of the challenges that youth and children face in participating in transitional justice processes, and offered some recommendations for how to overcome these challenges.

The forum provided an incredible platform for us to exchange ideas, experiences, and best practices with experts and stakeholders from all over Africa. It's inspiring to witness the dedication and commitment of everyone involved in promoting justice, reconciliation, and healing in our communities.

At YORJA, we believe in the power of inclusive dialogue and the role of the younger generation in shaping a brighter future. Our commitment to transitional justice and human rights remains steadfast.

A heartfelt thanks to the organizers, fellow panelists, and all attendees for this enriching experience. Let's continue working together to ensure that the voices of youth and children are heard and valued in the pursuit of justice and peace.

To all the Families affected by the recent earthquake, our hearts are with you.
